Our COVID-19 Update:
A Message From Our CEO, Mark Richter
I want to take a moment to reflect on the unprecedented events of 2020, including the COVID-19 crisis, economic hardships many are facing, and the other challenges we’ve faced this year. Don’t worry; we’re doing everything to keep our members healthy and served appropriately during these unprecedented times.
In all areas of service, you can rest easy.
We’ll take care of you and all the members we serve, but just a little differently. Our lobby is now open, and members must wear masks when visiting us. You’ll also notice sneeze guards and the use of paper receipts. (Please sign your receipt and simply take our pen home.) And feel free to use our convenient, touch-free hand sanitizing stations. We also encourage you to take advantage of our range of online and mobile services and our convenient drive-thru.
Help is available.
To assist those who are struggling, we’ve been offering a RELIEF package with varying loan products. Call us if you need help. And continue to watch your email and our website for updates.
We’ve also participated in many community initiatives. For example, we were awarded a $10,000 grant by the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) to give loan payment relief to members. In July, ten members were able to have a loan or mortgage payment (up to $1,000 each) paid for them.
Additionally, we supported local businesses with our recent “First United Gives Back” initiative. We assisted members and the community by raising money for restaurants and several local charities affected by COVD-19.
Remember, we’re here for you.
Because of our not-for-profit, cooperative philosophy, community involvement remains a priority—and a focus in all we do. We will continue to devote numerous resources to COVID-19 needs, employee volunteerism while giving back to our city and community in other various ways.
Look to us as your financial and community resource. We’re here for you and look forward to serving you safely and conveniently throughout the remainder of 2020.
Thank you for being a member.
