Giving Back

We’re committed to you, the Grandville Community, and all of West Michigan!

Credit unions have been giving back to their communities since their inception in Germany in 1852. It’s part of our cooperative, member-first, non-profit philosophy. While the times have certainly changed, our core philosophy has not. As your credit union, we believe putting you first makes a difference in our service and role in the community.

This holiday season, we look forward to serving you and giving back to those in need. Consider joining us at these upcoming community activities we’re sponsoring:

City of Grandville, ‘Christmas at the Commons’

Saturday, December 4, 2021
5-9 pm
Downtown Grandville

Mark your calendars now & plan to join us on Saturday, December 4 for Christmas at the Commons – a strolling Holiday event.

“In place of our traditional parade, we will be closing Chicago Drive mid-day on Saturday, December 4 and staging a stationary parade with lit floats, holiday animals, Dickens Carolers, North Pole houses, character photo stops, and stages for Christmas musicians. In the lots around the stationary parade, we will add train rides, food vendors, a mini Christmas market, the mega tree, horse and carriage rides, and more. The tree lighting, hosted by Grandville City Council and accompanied by the GHS marching band, will take place at 5:30 pm by the big tree along Chicago Drive. Festivities may be enjoyed anytime throughout the evening from 5-9 pm.”

Angel Tree Toy Drive

In conjunction with the Salvation Army
First United CU Lobby Is A Collection Site
Deadline for collection: Tuesday, December 14, 2021

Bring your new, unwrapped toy to our lobby. We appreciate your generosity!

“Participating locations display a holiday tree decorated with Angel Tree tags that represent children or teenagers who might not otherwise receive gifts this holiday season. Take a tag and return an unwrapped gift to the Angel Tree. For those who prefer it, this year we are continuing our online shopping opportunities.”

Stop by First United CU to participate. You can also shop for a toy and donate online.
