Headquartered in Grandville, Michigan, First United was originally chartered in 1937 to serve the Leonard Refrigerator Plant and was later known as Kelvinator Employees Credit Union. Changes occurred over the years, yet members remained loyal and sustained our vision. We have experienced solid growth and assisted other CUs with merger opportunities. We’re also serving a growing number of businesses and their employees, including groups such as the IBEW.
Today, we can serve anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Kent and the surrounding 22 counties. A range of services is offered for both business and personal accounts. Members can also access hundreds of Shared Branch locations in Michigan and hundreds more throughout the nation. Along with surcharge-free ATM access, members conveniently use Online, Mobile, and Text Banking to manage their accounts.
